Apple Orange Cobbler

Orange zest and orange juice adds a tangy dimension to classic apple cobbler, producing a unique and refreshing dessert dish. With its crumbly golden crust on top with a soft, sweet, and tangy filling at the bottom, apple orange cobbler smells and taste like heaven. Top with some whip cream for the ultimate decadence or serve with vanilla ice cream. This gourmet cooking recipe, adapted from The Pepperidge Farm Cook Book by Margaret Rudkin, makes a no-nonsense delicious dessert for any occasion. It’s also pleasurable with tea or coffee during afternoon breaks.

When cooked, apple orange cobbler should have the appearance of a cobbled street on the surface, hence its name. Peaches are the most popular fruit used for making cobblers but apple cobblers are also a classic favorite. An alternative to the more common apple pie, apple orange cobbler has no crust at the bottom so there’s more syrup and you can really savor the zesty orange flavor. Most apple cobbler recipe uses lemon juice to keep the apples from browning and to give it a tangy bite. The citrus flavor is a surprising and aromatic addition that will make your guests smile and think of warm sunny days.

Make this recipe when apples are in season. The best varieties of apples for making cobblers are tart, crisp and sweet apples like Granny Smith, Jonathan, Pippin, or Jonagold. You can also use different varieties of apples in one dish for more complexity, interesting textures, and a wide spectrum of apple flavors, which will be a real treat for the apple connoisseur.

Use fresh apples and fresh orange juice for best results, but you can also use store-bought orange juice to make this recipe. Wash the apples thoroughly and peel them since most of the apples available in groceries are laden with pesticides. You can also use apples that are almost overripe in this recipe, since they will be softened when baked but it will have a slightly exotic flavor, which is a great way to use up extra apples.

Act 1

The play starts out with 3 witches that are talking about a plan that turns out to be the theme of the whole story. The background is that there is a war going on between Norway and Scotland, and thanks to Macbeth they have been victorious. Meanwhile the Thane of Cawdor was captured and executed for being a traitor. The king knowing how well Macbeth has been doing decided to make him Thane of Cawdor. The scene is then jumped to the 3 Witches confronting Macbeth and Banquo and telling Macbeth that he will become Thane of Cawdor and then king of Scotland. The witches disappear and Macbeth quickly learns of his new title, which he didn't know before thus fulfilling the first part of the prophesy. Macbeth sends a letter home to Lady Macbeth informing her of what he has learned. King Duncan has ordered a celebration at Macbeths castle, and plans to stay the night there. When Lady Macbeth learns about the prophesy and thinks of a plan that would include killing the king and Macbeth becoming king, she later convinces Macbeth to follow along, and kill king Duncan. At the end, Macbeth is still determined to do this.
This tweet Macbeth is speaking. The tweet is representing that he is only human and he might not be able to cope with the things he will have to do to become king. He didn't think when the witches told him that it would take this much work just for it to become king, and hes going to have to get dirty to become king.

Act 2

The act starts out with Banquo and his son talking out on a balcony, Macbeth enters shortly and tells Banquo that they need to discuss about the witches. Banquo says that they will talk later and head off to bed leaving Macbeth alone, waiting to go and kill the king. He hears the bell which was the signal that it was time, and Macbeth goes to kill the king. Right after Macbeth kills the king he starts freaking out, and lady Macbeth is forced to go and finish the job by putting blood over the drunken guards. In the morning, Macduff discovers his fathers dead body and takes the bait and blames the guards for it, which is when Macbeth kills the 2 guards "in a rage". Duncan sons Malcom and Donalbain flee for the fear that they would be blamed for the murder of the king, since they fled Macbeth was given the title of King.
This is a picture of Macbeth after he killed king Duncan and is covered in his blood. This image states that Macbeth is ruthless because he killed a personal friend of his, and someone he was very loyal to. He starts to loose it and gets into a nervous wreck, which is when Lady Macbeth tries to calm him down so that no one will wake up, showing that she has a lot more self control than Macbeth does. This image shows how Macbeth is downright determined to do this, or that it was a mistake.
This tweet is Macbeth speaking. In this tweet he was sitting there right before he had to go and kill king Duncan  While he is sitting there he begins to get very nervous and doubting himself. But he soon realizes that this is very important and that he will do whatever it takes to become the king. This shows that Macbeth could have talked himself out of it, but fate has its own way of interfering.
This tweet is in the perspective of Malcom. At this point of the play, Malcolm realizes that something fishy is going on and that he could be next to be killed, which shows that he is smart and quick on his feet. This shows that he is intelligent because he realized he wasn't safe and had to flee.

Act 3

The first scene starts out with Banquo thinking about Macbeth. Banquo is starting to become suspicious of Macbeth for the Murder of the king and all the suspicious things that's going on, and Macbeth starts to realize that Banquo is catching on. Macbeth, being careful Macbeth sends malevolent murderers to kill Banquo and his son Fleance while they are on the road heading to a dinner that was set up for him. The murderers find and kill Banquo, but Fleance manages to escape which means that someone had to explain this to Macbeth. Before the Banquet that was about to go on, the murderers inform Macbeth they killed Banquo, but Fleance escaped. Macbeth then sees the Ghost of Banquo sitting in his seat, and freaks out, screaming and ranting on about weird things making the guests scared and think the kings going crazy. Thinking quick on her feet, Lady Macbeth covers for Macbeths mental infirmity by saying hes prone to having these. Towards the end we know that Macduff has gone to England to ask for an army because of his suspension of Macbeth.

This picture is showing when everyone is sitting down when suddenly Macbeth  and Macbeth only sees Banquos ghost. Then he goes on ranting and acting crazy, this is when the guests start to feel nervous and uneasy about Macbeth  This shows that Macbeth is only human and that hes starting to loose his sanity with having to deal with the people he has been killing.
This tweet is from Banquo. It is showing that he is smart, hes starting to catch onto what really might be going on. Banquo starts to think that Macbeth might not be trustworthy and doesn't deserves to be king. But before he could do anything he was killed by the murderers that Macbeth arranged.
This tweet is from Macbeth. It is an internal conflict that he is having. He is thinking how things might play out, and that with the new information he learned if he can play fate and change the prophesy or if he will die knowing that Banquos kids will become king. This is the point where Macbeth is realizing how he will fall and that it wasn't worth it.

Act 4

The act starts out with the three witches making a great potion to plot against Macbeth. When Macbeth gets to the witches, they show him the visions. They stated that he should fear the thane of Fife, aka Macduff. Then they say that Macbeth cant be killed by any man born of women, making him feel that hes safe against anyone like Macduff. They go on to say that Macbeth should never be afraid because until Birnam wood and Dunsinane Hill meet he would not be defeated. Meanwhile, Macduff is in England persuading Malcom to help him with going to Scotland and gaining the throne from the tyrant Macbeth. After a test that Malcom pulled on Macduff, he agrees to help take back Scotland by force with the support he got.

Why are lunches important? Students who are not receiving adequate nutrients have lower test scores. (Lunch Wars, Amy Kalafa)
Hunger Free Colorado and Colorado Children's Campaign are strong supporters of the bill being that they work towards funding for students to eat. It was Colorado Children's Campaign that actually allowed the bill to be created and processed through the Colorado House of Representatives.
Eating healthy is a critical especially for children who are growing and learning and there are various organizations that work and support this idea. With such involvement in the education system, they work toward improving lunches and making eating a possibility for families who cannot afford it.
By incorporating a program for the students will make not only the students lives easier and less stressful but the parents being that they don't have to worry about feeding their child it is already ready and waiting at the school. With such stress eliminated the attention of the student can parent can be toward the curriculum.
Addressing the major concerns presented by the bills passing. These are questions that allowed for the two nays from Representative Holbert and Representative Everett, being that the bill requires support from taxpayers.

Bridal Shoes for the best day of life

Selecting the right wedding shoes for the most beautiful day of your life depends on important main criteria and conditions.

Storified by She Jue · Mon, Apr 01 2013 18:43:37

Selecting the right wedding shoes for the most beautiful day of your life depends on important main criteria and conditions. The bridal shoes should be as well with the wedding dress also harmonize with the style of the wedding.

The location of the ceremony may be the only determining factor for the selection of appropriate footwear: the wedding will take place on the beach or on a lawn, are usually awkward, because the heels can sink in the sand or the grass. In this case, rather flat bridal shoes such as sandals or ballet flats are recommended.

The styles of the wedding also plays a central role in the decision. Whether casual or classic, the shoes should fit in the wedding atmosphere and bridal belts. Occupied by the rhinestone sandals to classic white, front closed pump wedding shoes offer numerous applications of rhinestones, glitter over details or fabric flowers, allowing the bride to enrich their individual style and elegance.

It is important to pay attention to the hem of the dress. He is richly decorated, it is recommended that a bridal shoe without any applications. If the hem rather reduced, the wedding shoe score with more decoration.

Furthermore, the shoe color is a particularly important issue. In principle, the shoe should be two shades darker than the dress: with shades of white, ivory or champagne, for example, the overall style is designed more beautiful than when designed monotonous.

Comfort is the ultimate criterion for the selection of wedding shoes, because the bride should be able to proceed with confidence to the aisle to the altar. A tip is a good idea at the point: if the future bride in everyday life is not like high heels, then they should also prefer to forgo the wedding on high heels. If it is to be worn high heels for the ceremony, then it is a good idea to buy a second pair of comfortable dancing shoes for the evening.

Future brides who are still looking for the right bridal shoes find more tips and advice online from jueshe, beautiful shoes for the bride, under www.jueshegowns.com .

The Columbus Blue Jackets moved into eighth place in the Western Conference by beating the Anaheim Ducks 2-1 in overtime.

Storified by Dominic Binkley · Mon, Apr 01 2013 18:44:27

The Columbus Blue Jackets inched their way into eighth place in the Western Conference standings Sunday night by handing the Anaheim Ducks a 2-1 overtime defeat.

The win improved the Blue Jackets' record to 9-0-3 in their last 12 games only a month after the team sat at the bottom of the NHL standings. It also extended the team's point streak to 15 in their last 17 games and set a franchise record for 10 wins in a single month.

The Blue Jackets carried the play early in the game and had what appeared to be a goal less than a minute when a shot by Derrick Brassard hit the goal post but a review showed that the puck did not go in the net. Brassard redeemed himself midway through the second period by scoring on a pass from Mark Letestu, giving a Blue Jackets a 1-0 lead.
Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky continued his success in net for the Blue Jackets by holding the ducks off the scoreboard until Duck's forward Emerson Etem's shot beat Bobrovsky's with five minutes left in regulation, tying the game 1-1. Bobrovsky finished the game with 29 saves on 30 shots and was named the NHL's third star of the month following the game.
The game seemed destined for a shootout with only one minute left in overtime when Mark Letestu blew a shot past Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller giving the Blue Jackets two points to move them into the eighth and last playoff position in the Western Conference.
The win sparked a rare sense of hope among the Blue Jackets faithful who have been waiting almost four years for the team to make the playoffs since the team's only post-season appearance in 2009. Some fans took to twitter following the win to express their excitement.
Twelve games remain in the Blue Jackets' shortened season with eight of those being on the road. Columbus has struggled thus far on the road, earning a record of only 4-10-2.
The playoff race is tight with five other teams within two points of the Blue Jacket's total of 37. The Blue Jackets will need to find a way to duplicate their home-ice  success  while on the road to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Netflix played amusing April Fool's joke on its users

Storified by Noelle Novakovich · Mon, Apr 01 2013 18:45:21

Everyone knows that Netflix is guilty for getting a little too specific when it comes to categorizing what its users want to watch. So for a great April Fool's joke, they decided to take it to the next level.

Netflix decided to add extremely detailed categories to each user's account resulting in some double takes and some laughs. Netflix already features many elaborate category titles such as "Romantic comedies with a strong female lead" on a regular basis. So adding a few absurdly detailed titles was not only funny but extremely smart. The company acknowledged that they may take things to literal and made fun of itself. Well played Netflix...well played indeed.
