In the beginning of Act III, Banquo's suspicion rises about Macbeth, but he will not speak about his suspicion. Macbeth decides to have a feast and makes Banquo the guest of honor. When Macbeth starts to feel threatned by Banquo, he speaks to two dauntless murders about killing Banquo and Fleance while they are riding back to the palace. Macbeth begins to tell Lady Macbeth how he cannot sleep ever since the "death" of King Duncan and he also begins to hint at the death of Banquo to her, but will not tell her exactly what will happen. Finding Banquo and his son, the murders kill Banquo while his son flees. The party at Macbeth begins and the murders show up to explain to Macbeth what all had happened and how Fleance had escaped. While the dinner is going on, Macbeth sees the ghost of Banquo and freaks out at dinner. Lady Macbeth realizes Macbeth is having an infirmity and tells all the Noblemen to leave. When the next scene starts, Hecate, the goddess of witchcraft, explains to the witches that they must cast a spell on Macbeth. The spell will cause him to have illusions and bring about his own downfall. In the final scene, Lennox explains to a Lord that Macduff has traveled to the court of the English King, Edward, and begins to attempt a round up for an army.
Look its Banquo!! Does no one see him or am i going mad?! I need sleep. I need 2 see the witches. I have 2 get use 2 killing... #MB146 #A3S4
In my tweet, the Point of View is Macbeth in scene IIII. He has seen the ghost of Banquo covered in blood at the banquet that he was suppose to show up and freaks out. He knows that he has sent people to kill Banquo, so at the moment he doesn't understand how he could be there. Since no one else can see Banquo, this is an internal conflict between Macbeth and himself. He also hasn't slept so he also becomes paranoid from killing Duncan also. After everyone leaves and he begins to speak with Lady Macbeth, he tells her that he has to see the witches for more information.
In this picture, Macbeth has just seen the ghost of Banquo. At the moment, he doesn't understand because he knows the the murders have killed Banquo. He begins to freak out during the meal and all the noblemen stand up and Lady Macbeth tries to calm him down before anyone catches on to whats going on. The actor in the picture is really showing the fear and fright of seeing the ghost of Banquo.
