One of the key members of the group is Gustavo Santolalla.  Santolalla has spent his entire career blending genres and creating new ones in a variety of contexts.  He’s also known world wide for composing the scores to such films at Amores Perros, (and he won the academy award for both Broke Back Mountain and Babel.
