Syrian children have been victims of torture, rape, hunger, and extremely traumatic experiences since the conflict began in 2011. These events have devastating effects on the mental health, physical health, and the well being of these children. The next generation of Syrian's will need all the help they can get in order to prosper in the future. Schools and hospitals are major places in which quality of life can be sustained. Most have been destroyed by the ruthless fighting. Foreign aid has been trying to help these children that are under fire every day. There's no where to hide, everyone is a target. Save the Children is just one of the many organizations that are trying to help out. For now most organizations are helping out in the short term but the long term repair of Syria will be the real challenge.

Bullish Bets Jump Most Since July as Gold Rebounds: Commodities

Investors increased wagers on a commodity rally by the most in eight months as signs of a U.S. economic recovery bolstered the outlook for demand and drove rallies in crude oil, cotton, copper and gold.

Hedge funds and other large speculators raised net-long positions across 18 U.S. futures and options in the week ended March 12 by 30 percent to 528,680 contracts, the biggest gain since July and up from a four-year low the previous week, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission data show. Money managers raised bullish bets on corn by 39 percent, cotton holdings were the highest since 2010, and gold wagers increased 9 percent.

 


Open interest in commodities rose 2.8 percent in the first half of March, heading for a third monthly gain, and the Standard & Poor’s GSCI Spot Index of 24 raw materials erased its 2013 losses. U.S. retail sales climbed twice as much as forecast in February, the government said March 13. In the four weeks to March 9, the average number of Americans filing for jobless benefits fell to the lowest since March 2008. The U.S., the largest economy, is the top consumer of corn and oil and the second-biggest metals user.

“People are accepting the fact that we have a growing economy, and there’s confirmation of that from the economic data,” said Sal Gilbertie, who helps manage $69 million of assets as president and chief investment officer of Teucrium Trading LLC in Santa Fe, New Mexico. “It gives people a reason to believe that there’s going to be sustained economic demand for base commodities.”

Commodity Rebound

The S&P GSCI gauge has gained 0.6 percent this year after being down 1 percent on March 4. The MSCI All-Country World Index of equities climbed 5.7 percent, while the dollar advanced 3.6 percent against a basket of six trading partners. Treasuries lost 0.9 percent, a Bank of America Corp. index shows.

The euro fell today to its lowest level this year, sending 17 of the raw materials tracked by the GSCI lower, after euro- area finance ministers reached an agreement on March 16 forcing depositors in Cypriot banks to share the cost of the latest euro-zone bailout.

First-time U.S. jobless claims fell 10,000 to 332,000 in the week ended March 9, the fewest since mid-January, the Labor Department said March 14. Output at factories, mines and utilities climbed 0.7 percent, the most in three months, exceeding the median projection in a Bloomberg survey of economists, the Federal Reserve said on March 15.

Begge aviser rapporterte i februar at deres datasystemer hadde blitt infiltrert av Kina-baserte hackere, sannsynlig å overvåke media dekning som den kinesiske regjeringen anser som viktig.

Anonym og dens avlegger, Lulz sikkerhet, har vært knyttet til en rekke høyprofilerte dataangrep og forbrytelser, inkludert mange som var ment å fornærme bedriftens giganter, regjeringer og føderale byråer. A traditional Hungarian diet soup recipe, Tejleves is milk soup flavored with salt and sugar and consists of Hungarian noodles or potatoes. Vegetables and herbs can also be added to the mix for a more flavorful, aromatic and nutritious soup. To make basic milk soup, you need milk, water, white sugar, salt and a bowl of precooked noodles. You can also add mixed vegetables such as carrots, peas broccoli, potatoes, and cauliflower. Herbs that go well with milk soup include parsley, basil, tarragon, and rosemary.

Milk soup is a common appetizer or meal in many Eastern European countries. Among Poles, it is called “zupa mleczna,” among Czechs and Hungarians it is known as “tejleves,” Lithuanians call it “pieninės sriubos,” Ukranians call it “sup molochnyy,” while Russians call it “sup molochnyi.” It is typically eaten hot for breakfast and is also commonly served as a meal for the sick. During the communist era, milk soup was a staple at Polish milk bars.

Farmers usually make milk soup to use up cow’s milk that could not be turned into cheese, buttermilk, or butter since it is easy and simple to do and is quite satisfying at the end of a tiring day. Today it is a comfort food in many parts of the world and often served with bread, rice, noodles, millet, farina, barley, or potatoes. If you can’t find Hungarian noodles to make this recipe, you can also use pasta noodles like elbow macaroni, bow tie, penne, fusilli, or other pasta shells. The pasts should be cooked al dente and then added to the soup at the end of cooking.

For an authentic Tejleves milk soup, use Hungarian egg noodles, which is also known as Magyar tojasos teszta, or metelt. They come in as many shapes and sizes as Italian pasta and you can choose the type of shape and size you prefer in making this soup.

Gourmandia
Ingredients
400ml milk
2 cups water
1 tablespoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 medium bowl pre cooked noodles

In a deep saucepan boil milk, water, sugar and salt.


To this add the prepared noodles and allow it to boil for 5 minutes.


You can also add vegetables to this and serve hot.
