About This Game
Welcome to Edo, an alternate realm where history took a different route. The Samurai of Japan were never outlawed and the emperor lost power preventing Japan from opening its borders to the other nations of the world.
Edo is now a very different place from modern Japan, where tradition still holds sway other the people and it's leaders. As time has passed the Samurai have been given ever increasing levels of power by the Council of Nobles and their leader the Lord Regent.
This has given rise to the creation of a special core Samurai unit known as the Justicars, though members are appointed by the council, they remain an autonomous unit, able to investigate and judge any threat or criminal they find. It is their duty to safeguard the continuity and protect the people. But Edo is not a land of peace and plenty, strife exists in all corners of the once great empire. Rival factions constantly battle for land and power whilst rebellion grows from within.
Enter Asumi - A female samurai of the black clan, trained from birth to kill on command. Now newly appointed as a Justicar of Edo. Our protagonist finds herself in a place she never thought she would be, outside of the shadows, within an academy, trying to root out a rebel before civil war can engulf Edo and its people.

Brianna Sutrisna, 21, teammate of Matheney, noticed there are more in attendance for men's volleyball games versus women's. Why?
"I think it's the pace of the game," Sutrisna said. "People like watching fast paced games. Volleyball and basketball are more fast paced when watching guy's games, versus a girl's game it's much slower."
Matheney slightly disagrees.
"When you're talking about girl's volleyball, people watch more, " Matheney said. "But maybe women's professional basketball, I like rarely see them on TV. I don't even know what season it's on. Girl's anything isn't really portrayed in the media."

Though, Sutrisna feels the level of excitement for girl's volleyball gets the upper hand.
"Guys games are so fast pace that it's just left and right," Sutrisna said. "Where with girls, it's more strategy-based. In volleyball, obviously we don't hit the ball as hard as guys, so we think more of where we are going to place the ball. It's more of a thinking game rather than 'I want to hit the ball as hard as I can through the block.'"

A Deficiency of Diversity

Students at The College at Brockport discuss the lack of diversity on campus

The College at Brockport is a small town school with a big lack in the diversity needed to help all students flourish. Although its main website boldly dares potential students to "Join a community that says 'Welcome Home'", current students like Rosie Fajardo and Zach Torain have had a tough time feeling completely welcome on campus.
Born to Dominican-American immigrants in the Bronx, Rosie Fajardo chose Brockport in the fall of 2013 because of the opportunities available through the Educational Opportunity Program, which aims to “assist economically and educationally disadvantaged students to achieve their educational goals."
Zach Torain was raised in Dunkirk, New York, in the shadow of another State College and on the complete opposite side of the state than Fajardo. He arrived at Brockport that same fall with fresh college town dreams and an interest in the ROTC program.
Fajardo and Torain met their freshman year on the first floor of Benedict Hall. Despite their distance, both agreed that Brockport came with a glimmer of opportunity to learn and grow as individuals. However, when the two arrived to Brockport, they quickly noticed a surprising lack of diversity on campus.
“I never had to take note of how many other black kids were in my class in high school. At Brockport, I found myself keeping an eye out for students who looked the same way I did" said Torain.
Fajardo’s response was similar, adding that, “As a Political Science major during such an important time in our country, there is never enough diversity in any of my classes. I am always one of two or three, always; and change looks unlikely with numbers that low.”
Due to his disappointment with the nature of diversity at Brockport, Torain has taken the initiative himself in making such a difference on campus a reality.
“I make an effort to get to know anyone I can” Torain said. “I can’t tell you how many people will open up once you start a conversation. I think everyone is afraid of sounding ignorant, so we stick to what we know. The more you talk, the more people are willing to talk back.”
Fajardo is far less optimistic about the nature of diversity at Brockport.
"Every single year that I have been at Brockport there has been an incident where I felt targeted because of my background" she shared.
No matter student's attitudes toward Brockport’s “diversity deficiency”, there is no question that the college isn’t trying to improve its approach to the situation. Brockport’s “Strategic Plan for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion” offers a strategy to “improve enrollment by race, ethnicity, level… and gender."
Perhaps diversity at Brockport just needs a little more time; but many students can’t help but wonder why the vast programs already in place such as the Educational Opportunity Program, annual conference celebrating diversity, and multiple diversity-directed student-run organizations do not seem to be enough to push Brockport where many feel it needs to be.

On sait après l'enquête qu’il s’agissait d’un malheureux concours de circonstances : le chauffeur était sous l’emprise d’alcool et de tranquillisants. Il roulait beaucoup trop vite, apparemment pour échapper aux paparazzis qui suivaient le couple princier. On retrouva dans ses poches une importante somme d'argent en liquide. Et il y avait une voiture, la fameuse Fiat Uno jamais identifiée, qui sera éraflée par la Mercedès du couple, avant qu’elle se fracasse contre un pilier du tunnel de l’Alma…

La théorie la plus répandue est celle selon laquelle la famille Royale d'Angleterre aurait commandité elle-même l'accident qui tua la princesse. Le père de son compagnon mort en même temps, Mohamed Al Fayed - le propriétaire des magasins Harrods - est toujours persuadé de l’implication des services secrets britanniques dans ce qu’il considère comme un assassinat. Richard Tomlinson, un ancien agent du MI6, affirma dès un an après la mort de la princesse que son ancien service surveillait Diana avant sa mort. Mais pourquoi? Il y a plusieurs raison plausibles pour les adeptes de la théorie du complot. Premièrement, Diana était contre plusieurs pratiques de la famille royale, détenait des "informations" et n'était pas en bons termes avec la reine Elizabeth II. À l'annonce de sa mort, la reine avait, contre toute attente, choisie de rester dans sa résidence de vacances de Balmoral, en Ecosse, plutôt que de rentrer à Londres.
Mais surtout, la famille royale était contre sa relation avec Dodi El-Fayed. Deux jours avant sa mort, Lady Diana s'était rendue à Paris avec Dodi El-Fayed pour acheter sa bague de fiançaille et annoncer qu'elle allait se marier avec lui. Selon la théorie, il n'était pas possible pour la royauté qu'un musulman soit sur le point d’épouser la mère du futur roi d’Angleterre. De plus, la nuit de sa mort, Lady Diana était enceinte de Dodi El-Fayed. Cette information aurait été étouffées, puis divulguées par des infirmières.
Cette théorie a été tellement relayée qu'elle a pris le pas sur la version officielle pour un grand nombre d'anglais.

Many schools may try to divide STEM standards up so they are in separate classrooms. This is the opposite of what STEM wants to accomplish. STEM is meant to be integrated in all classrooms, including all aspects of STEM. When you nee a new roof on your home, there is a lot you have to consider. You want to find a good roofer, and you want to know your options as far as materials needed and everything else to consider, so keep reading to learn more about this subject. You will learn much about your many choices.
When it comes to maintaining your roof, make sure that you keep your gutters clean. Clear them of any fallen leaves, twigs and other debris so that water can flow freely from your roof. If you don't adequately clean out your gutters regularly you may become prone to flooding problems.
While it may sound backwards, one of the best times to find a leak is when it's completely dry out. Keep an eye out for things like mold in corners, unusually dark ceiling tiles, and damp insulation. You can use these things to guide you to the spot the leak is coming from.
If a salesman is pressuring you into a deal, turn him away. It is better to turn down salesmen using an unrealistic pitch. They are unlikely to fulfill a contract if you do sign one.
The more contact information you get for your roofing company, the better. Ask the project manager or foreman for not only his contact information, but that of the company he works for. You should know his full name and who at the company you should speak to if there is a problem.
If someone comes to your door and offers you a free roof, question their motives. Don't let them up onto your roof - instead, call your insurance agency and ask them to inspect the roof. Until the insurer says you need, and will be covered for, a new roof, don't sign anything.
While giving a deposit to your roofer is normal, you shouldn't pay for the job itself until it's been completed. The rule of thumb is that the deposit shouldn't be more than 25% of the roofer's total estimate for the job. The roofer needs money in advance for materials, but they don't need to be paid for labor that hasn't been done.
It is very important that roofers have insurance. In the event that a roofer damages anything on your property and is not insured, it's up to you to pay for it. Don't simply ask if your contractor is insured, make them show you the documentation that proves it.
Roofing materials come in many attractive colors. If you are considering a new roof for your home but are not sure which color to choose, ask the salesman for advice. Dark colors will attract heat, and that could be a problem if you live in a warm climate. Neutral colors are usually a better choice.
