Storify stories begin with a headline and description. These are the two areas you see at the top of the story editor. Use these to give your readers an idea of what your story is about, as they are often what people will see first.
While editing, click anywhere in the white space of your story to start adding text to it.
Adding social media - Start by searching any of the "sources" you see on the right side of the story editor. Storify lets you easily embed anything from the search results into your story by dragging and dropping it in.
For example, access the Twitter "source" by clicking on the Twitter logo on the right. You can do a general Twitter search in the area that appears, like typing in "storify" to see the latest Tweets talking about us. Drag and drop any search result into this story. When you're done, it looks like this:

Click the Google source to search for the right site. If you know the direct URL of something you want to embed, use the Embed URL source (the icon looks like a link) and enter it there.
Publishing and embedding - While you're working on your story, it will be a Draft on your Storify account, meaning only you can view it.
When you're finished, click Publish and the story will be publicly available to readers on your Storify profile. All Storify stories are embeddable, meaning you can also post them on places like your blog, Tumblr or any Web site where you can insert an embed code.
Notify -
Because your stories are social, you can also let the people who are quoted know that they are now part of your story. This is a great way to help your story spread further, as people who are quoted are likely to also share it with their friends. Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
liebe Freundinnen und Freunde,
die letzte Sitzung des Untersuchungsausschusses „Labor“, in der eine Zeugeneinvernahme stattfand, liegt hinter uns. Wir machen uns nun daran, den Schlussbericht vorzubereiten. Denn der Untersuchungsausschuss soll noch vor der Sommerpause 2016 abgeschlossen sein.
In Verteidigung ihres jeweiligen Fehlverhaltens vertraten sowohl die ehemalige Justizministerin Merk als auch der amtierende Justizminister Bausback und Innenminister Herrmann in unseren Befragungen dieselbe Linie: Über den Tisch eines Ministers geht jeden Tag so viel, da könne man sich nicht um Einzelheiten kümmern oder sich gar daran erinnern. Man verlässt sich deshalb ausschließlich auf die Expertise der Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter, sowohl bezüglich dessen, was ihrer Einschätzung nach berichtenswert ist als auch in Bezug auf die Sachbehandlung. Alle drei scheuten davor zurück, als Minister selbst Entscheidungen zu treffen, da sie offensichtlich befürchteten, sich dadurch politisch angreifbar zu machen. Das gilt gerade auch in Fällen, in denen die Ministerin oder der Minister die letzte Instanz gewesen wäre, die die jeweilige Angelegenheit noch hätte geradebiegen können.
So war es im Fall Schottdorf, als die Generalstaatsanwaltschaft München sehenden Auges zwei Staatsanwaltschaften im gleichen Bezirk in entgegengesetzte Richtung laufen ließ. Hier hätte die damalige Justizministerin Merk dafür sorgen müssen, dass die Rechtseinheit gewahrt wird.
Auch Innenminister Herrmann gesteht bis heute keine Fehler ein. Dabei ist davon auszugehen, dass bei einem korrekten und offenen Umgang mit den „SoKo Labor“- Mitarbeitern die Affäre im bayerischen Landeskriminalamt gar nicht erst hochgekocht wäre. Hauptfehler war, dass die Ermittlerinnen und Ermittler über Angelegenheiten, die sie unmittelbar betrafen, vielfach nicht rechtzeitig und umfassend informiert und einbezogen, sondern ohne zureichende Erklärung vor vollendete Tatsachen gestellt wurden. Als diese dagegen protestierten, hat man versucht, die Kritiker mundtot zu machen, statt ihre Beschwerden ernst zu nehmen und auszuräumen, so dass das Misstrauen weiter wuchs und die Gerüchteküche kochte. Letztlich blieb dann zur Überprüfung der damaligen Vorgänge nur noch die parlamentarische Kontrolle, also der Untersuchungsausschuss.
Genauso enttäuschend war das Bild, das Justizminister Bausback im Untersuchungsausschuss abgab. Er berief sich gleich zu Beginn seiner Zeugenaussage darauf, dass die relevanten Vorgänge rund um die „Affäre Schottdorf“ längst abgeschlossen waren, als er im Herbst 2013 Justizminister wurde. Ansonsten habe er kaum noch „aktive“ Erinnerung an den Fall. Zur Falschinformation des Parlaments im Verfassungsausschuss im Mai 2014 wollte er nicht Stellung beziehen. Obwohl er sich damals von Mitarbeitern hatte vertreten lassen, weigerte er sich, dafür die Verantwortung zu übernehmen.
Insgesamt hinterließ die politische Spitze von Justiz und Polizei im Untersuchungsausschuss keinen guten Eindruck.
