On the 5th of August 2016 Queensland returns with the largest annual event in the state. People from all around Brisbane and local areas came along to experience the Royal Queensland show and find out what's new this year.

The Royal Queensland show is known to most people of the state. The show is a huge time of year where family's can get together for a night of fun and social interaction.
The Ekka is most known for it's show for it's show bags and fun rides. People of all ages are encouraged to come along whether it be for a fun time or to simply get out of the house. No matter the age group there is always something for every person.
As a regular visitor of the ekka i knew my way around the location and i also knew i had to prepare. From previous knowledge i was aware that the event has a natural tendency of making people spend money. I had limited myself to $150 which would include the bus fee; entry fee and any food or show bags i wanted to buy.

Travelling to the ekka was easy as it was a simple bus ride to the city. One thing i was unsure of was how many people would be going to this event as i was going at a rather late time.
Rides and stores are nicely looked after and everything is controlled
As i had already witnessed the ekka sighting before, i wanted to find out what some other people thought of the event at first impression.
Central Queensland University student Callum Dawson told me although he has participated in other events in his time
"The ekka is certainly the biggest and best event i have been to," Callum said.
Callum also said to me that he was also surprised with how controlled the environment is and that he was happy with the amount of public interaction.
Liam Hey of Central Queensland University explained to me that he was from the country and although the ekka has a great number of attendance, he has still witnessed better events.
"I'm enjoying the event's public interactions, but a large number of people can get in the way of a good time," he said.
I personally enjoyed the amount of legitimate advertising and advertising for a cause. It's a shame that not all events do take advantage of the advertisement techniques, especially with large crowd's. The ekka however, did this and made a good day even better.
