There are hundreds or maybe thousands of Filipino girls who are open for dating. There are six tours: Paris Along the Seine, Time Travel to Montmartre, Secrets of the Evening, Jewish History, Pere Lachaise Graveyard, and the new Tickle Your Tastebuds Meals tour. Your tour guide can also arrange a picnic or a specific serenade on a bridge for honeymoons, proposals, and special occasions. The mostest style, that is. Storify lets you curate social networks to build social stories, bringing together media scattered across the Web into a coherent narrative.

Storified by Lancashire Home Life · Sun, May 01 2016 11:56:12

Storify stories begin with a headline and description. These are the two areas you see at the top of the story editor. Use these to give your readers an idea of what your story is about, as they are often what people will see first.
While editing, click anywhere in the white space of your story to start adding text to it.
Adding social media - Start by searching any of the "sources" you see on the right side of the story editor. Storify lets you easily embed anything from the search results into your story by dragging and dropping it in.
For example, access the Twitter "source" by clicking on the Twitter logo on the right. You can do a general Twitter search in the area that appears, like typing in "storify" to see the latest Tweets talking about us. Drag and drop any search result into this story. When you're done, it looks like this:
Within the Twitter source, click "Images" and your searches will only turn up tweets that contain images, like this:
Or you can switch to a source like YouTube and include videos in your story, like this:
Welcome To Storify · StorifyVideos
Adding links to any website - You can also embed a link to any website, like the official site for a company or event, a Wikipedia page to give background on a subject, or anything else that might give your readers more information. Click the Google source to search for the right site. If you know the direct URL of something you want to embed, use the Embed URL source (the icon looks like a link) and enter it there.
Publishing and embedding - While you're working on your story, it will be a Draft on your Storify account, meaning only you can view it.
When you're finished, click Publish and the story will be publicly available to readers on your Storify profile. All Storify stories are embeddable, meaning you can also post them on places like your blog, Tumblr or any Web site where you can insert an embed code.
Notify -
Because your stories are social, you can also let the people who are quoted know that they are now part of your story. This is a great way to help your story spread further, as people who are quoted are likely to also share it with their friends. After your story is published, you will be prompted to use the Notify feature. Give it a try - we think you'll love the reaction you get!
Editing and updating - You can reorder any "element" in your story by clicking it and dragging it around, or delete it to make room for more. Even if your story has already been published, you can always edit or keep updating it at any time. Readers will always see the latest version of what you've published. For instance, when your readers react on social networks or the story you're covering keeps unfolding, you can add new quotes or developments right away.
Feedback, questions? - Got questions, problems or thoughts about Storify? Please tell us! Send us a tweet to @storify, post to our Facebook page or email support@storify.com.

5 Ways to Make Laundry Easier

Learn how to make laundry easier in few quick steps.

Storified by handlers1 · Sun, May 01 2016 11:58:25

Laundry days don’t always have to be the most dreaded days of the week. By putting a little effort and following some small rules, you can make laundry much easier and also less frustrating. One of the simplest ways is to find an online laundry service provider in your area. The online laundry service works by a laundry website which is efficient and user-friendly. All you haveto do is to place an order on the laundry website, let the laundry person collect dirty clothes at a time most suited to you. Your clean laundry is delivered to you at your requested time and place.
Besides taking the route of laundryonline, here are some easy-to-do things that you can follow at home.

1. Keep sorting laundry as you collect it
Most of us do laundry after collecting a bunch of dirtyclothes. Just before we put them to wash, we sort them according to colour ortexture. A smart way to cut down on the ‘sorting’ time and effort is bycollecting laundry in different piles. Instead of collecting different types oflaundry in just one pile, try making different piles for different textures ofclothes. When you have to put a certain pile for a wash, you don’t spend timehand-sifting dirty clothes – you’d know the exact treatment the clothes needwithout much effort. This is something that your online laundry serviceprovider does for you all the time.

2. Wash lessbut often
This tip might require you to make a certain mental shift. Agreat way to cut down effort that goes into a ton of laundry is to make a tinylifestyle shift by changing your laundry habit. Instead of collecting laundryover a week and taking on the humongous task of conquering a mountain of dirtyclothing, do you laundry in small batches by doing it more often. This also lessensthe load on your washing machine, and gives you more time to check for stainsand quality of washing.

3. The dryer can also be your iron
Strange as it maysound, there is nothing more comforting than a warm pile of laundry. If youimmediately take your clothes out of the dryer, there is almost no chance ofwrinkles being formed on fresh laundry. Wrinkles appear on clothes when theyare left in moisture for long. A great tip to cut down on effort spent inironing is by quickly taking laundry from the dryer as soon as the cycle isover.

4. Multi-task
Laundry is a woman’s task in most houses. As we would allagree, women have mastered the art of multi-tasking which means laundry can bemixed with ‘something else’ every time. If you’re a busy lady and still notwant to use an online laundry service provider at all, you can mix your day’stask with laundry. Exercise, prepare for cooking, do the cooking, read achapter or two, make some phone calls and run errands between each cycle. A funway to do this is to use the laundry cycle as a buzzer where you challengeyourself to finish every task before the cycle finishes.
5. Outsource the laundry online to a laundrywebsite!
This is, in all probability, the easiest method to cut downon all your effort that goes useless into washing laundry at home. Findyourself an online laundry service providerand forget about doing the repetitive task of creating machine cycles over andover again. There are many companies that help you do your laundry online byregistering as a customer on a laundry website in Delhi or Gurgaon who willmake this task very easy to accomplish. You can also schedule pickups everyweek when you get into the habit.
How do you make laundry easier? Got any other tips? We’dlove to know!

The horrors of the holocaust rattled the world giving a whole new perspective of mankind. The world was in such awe of the capabilities of humans against another that it seemed enough to never allow a relapse. Rwanda 1994 the world again experienced an immeasurable cruelty. Millions lost their lives, their families, their possessions; lost hope in humanity. It has been over 20 years since the massacre that took place in Rwanda between the Hutu and Tutsi people. Today organisations such as Hope Rwanda are pouring time, energy and resources into creating an environment where dignity, forgiveness, reconciliation and hope can thrive once more.
African boy walking in the fields of Rwanda · Guenter Guni

THE CATACLYSM OF 1994

East-central Africa lies the small landlocked country of Rwanda where the ethnic strife of 1994 is still heavily embedded in the memories of those that survived the 100-day massacre. Under colonial rule of Belgium ethnic tensions began to rise as the Belgians chose the Tutsi’s (roughly 14% of the population) to rule over the Hutu's (roughly 80% of the population). This decision was based off the closer similarities in features between the Belgians and the Tutsis, as their noses were longer and their skin was lighter. Tensions grew between the two ethnic groups as discrimination became a form of power for the Tutsis. After independence in 1962, under Hutu rule and inspired by years of oppression and discrimination, a radical Hutu group that called itself the RPA entered Rwanda from Uganda beginning a civil war. After 100 days of horrific crime over 800,000 Tutsi and moderate Hutus had lost their lives (Dixon 2014).

GLOBAL INTERVENTION FALLS SHORT

The horrific events that unfolded during the build-up to the genocide have in part been considered fault of the UN's poor judgement and lack of responsibility in the area and has since been brutally condemned. Former Swedish Prime Minister Ingvar Carlsson led a team of three to critically analyse the UN's involvement,or lack of, in the progression towards the genocide. Carlsson wrote after the report had been published that,

"Our conclusion is there is one overriding failure which explains why the UN could not stop or prevent the genocide, and that is a lack of resources and a lack of will - a lack of will to take on the commitment necessary to prevent the genocide."

Since the independent report was issued, the United Nations Security Council explicitly accepted responsibility for the unfolding of the genocide, admitting its lack of intervention, lack of prevention and purely failing to provide the help that the Rwandan people so desperately needed.
Fundamental stress was placed on the mistakes made by the UN in Rwanda, leading to a global movement to prevent a violence of such catastrophic magnitude ever occurring again. In the years that followed internal and external effort was made in the journey towards reconciliation, forgiveness and regaining dignity for those who suffered from the genocide. Internally the Rwandan government established a Government of National Unity, seeking reconciliation between the two ethnic groups. The UN despite their absence when most needed, continued to work with Rwanda in the aftermath. In 1995, a UN-appointed International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, along with the community-based Gacaca Courts, began the long task of trying those responsible for the 1994 atrocities (Human Rights Watch, 2014).

RWANDA TODAY

The journey towards implementing justice and rebuilding social structure has been a long one. Rwanda has been thriving economically through coffee and tea production and export. The World Bank has even praised Rwanda for its “remarkable development success” (2016), however despite its abundance of natural resources and its growing economic prosperity, the country remains pyschcologically fragile.
The enormous progression Rwanda has made cannot be disparaged; Rwanda today is a remarkable example of renewal. Although its people are still suffering o ver 20 years on from the tragedy of 1994. Rwanda remains one of the worst war-torn countries in Africa today. Its economic flourishment is still untouched by 60%of the population that live below the poverty line and these conditions are making it increasingly hard for children of rural areas in particular to gainan education. Education is imperative for the children of Africa to understandRwanda’s past and to contribute to its thriving future. Rwandas educationalsystem has steadily improved over the years, however most towns, remotevillages in particular, do not have the financial means to rapidly buildsufficient education infrastructures (). Difficult conditions are having itsstrain on teachers and students.

HOPE

FOR RWANDA

June this year a group of ambitious engineering students from the University of Wollongong will be initiating a project that will provide a small pre-school of114 students with potable drinking water. The pre-school, which operates out ofa Community Centre 90km east of Kigali, has no access to food, water or playequipment. The students as a result are severely malnourished, affecting theirbehaviour and energy at school. David Walker, Head of the porject and Lecturrer at the university of wollongong beame involved with A ngo called HOPE Rwanda several years earlier and since has been working aongside them in numerous projects.
Nicholas Hitimana, a Hutu and Elise Hitimana, a Tutsi and 6-month old son Jonathon had escaped the genocide in 1994, building a new life in Edinburgh, while nearly all of Elsie’s family had been murdered. After 6 years of rebuilding a happy fulfilled life in Scotland the couple felt compelled to return to Rwanda as part of the healing process. David Walker, when becoming involved with the engineering element of HOPE crossed paths with Elsie and since has formed a string bond which resulted in this incredible project.
Many projects similar to this have been initiated throughout Africa each making there contribution in remarkable ways. However, this small pre-school brings an exceptional element to a journey towards reconciliation, which is what this project encompasses. It is excpetional in the sense that it embodies all the values that this project hopes to bring to this small community, and it is mainly through the phenonmenal courage and kindness of Elsie and her husband Nicholas. Elsie sponsors these children to attend this school. The children she watches go to school, through her financial aid are children of those who murdered her own family.
As much as this project is about creating a physical environment where education can flourish for the youth of a tainted history, it is equally and perhaps more importantly about creating a healthy mental environment.

"It was harder for Elsie. She had lost almost everybody in her family. She had nothing to go back to. She still had a lot of anger and fear.” Says Nicholas, "If you don't forgive, you are tied to the event forever.”

This is a comparison of the future land of Waknuk and our present society, this comparison will be of the social norms of Waknuk and our world.

Waknuk

In the novel "The Chrysalids", by Mark Wydham, the difference between the sexes is quite apparent. Women in Waknuk have lots of blame cast on them for Blasphemies because they believe that by not always maintaining a pure state of mind the evil was able to strike through them in the form of blasphemies. In Waknuk, if the wife produces 3 blasphemies then the husband can't turn her out, in other words if the woman fails to produce a child that abides by the true image three times then her husband can divorce her, send her away, and find someone who can produce an offspring. Although it seems as if the unmarried women in this society would have more freedom, the only way for women to gain any sort of freedom is to be married, this way they will be recognized.
Women in Waknuk are forced to wear dresses and crosses that are believed to ward off the devil and keep them pure. The society of Waknuk believes that if the women are not pure, then the devil will strike through them in the form of blasphemies. Because of this women in Waknuk can be looked at differently, perhaps just an accessory or something to help better the men's lives and keep them comfortable and entertained. It could be said that women in Waknuk are a sort of luxury item rather than a person. This is because without a man to be connected to it seems as if they are not respected and treated equally or in some cases humanly.
When Daniels mother's sister "Aunt Harriet" comes to the house she is scared and afraid. She gives birth to her third blasphemy and knows that she can now be turned out of her own home by her husband if he wishes. "This is the third time . they will take away my baby again like they took the others. i cant stand that - not again. Henry will turn me out, i think. He'll find another wife, who can give him proper children." (71) She begged her sister Emily to help her by lending her, her own baby that has been deemed a true image and has her certificate. When she denies her this wish, Harriet knows that she has no way to get out of this unfortunate situation. "'monster!' Aunt Harriet's voice sounded as though she had been slapped. 'Oh! Oh! oH!...' she broke into little moaning sounds" (70) Her body was found in the river on her way home. It can be assumed that due to the inevitable fate that she is facing she committed suicide in the river.
This shows that Women in Waknuk feel not only controlled by laws and expectation, but also feel trapped with the only viable escape from the misery to be either leaving town or this world.

Our World

In our society, women are discriminated against in the realms of politics, religion and culture. Politicians often discriminate against women because it is a male dominated sector of our society, In many religions, women have certain opportunities taken from them simple because they are female and in some countries women are treated as objects used for pleasure.
In politics Women have become the butt end of jokes because of the male dominated history of politics.
Donald trump is an American politician that repeatedly makes rude remarks and insult women.
In some cultures around the world women are not treated as equals in some middle eastern countries women are treated as object, and even in western countries there is the major problem of human trafficking which is de-humanizing women.

Sharing WMU students' stories from around campus, one interview at a time

Storified by WMUAdmissions · Mon, May 02 2016 12:53:43

“I’m from the Dominican Republic so when I came here, I didn’t know anyone. My dad came with me to move me in and he was the one who was trying to make me meet people, it was so embarrassing. Meeting people was a gradual thing. Most of my friends are Arabs, it’s super awkward when they’re all speaking another language around me. But to annoy them, I just speak Spanish. It’s nice to meet people from a different culture that I wouldn’t normally meet if I wasn’t here.” –Amelia, freshman #HumansOfWMU #WMU · Western Michigan University
“It’s kind of cool once you get your program situated, you start to meet a lot of people that bounce around in the same classes as you, so you get a kind of core group of acquaintances that you see every semester.” –Charles, junior #HumansOfWMU #WMU · Western Michigan University
“I’m an international student from Kuwait, and I’m really young. I’m only sixteen. Moving away from my family was kind of hard to get used to. Back home, everyone would always help me because I was so young but here, I’m independent and have to do everything on my own. I’m twenty-four hours away from home, so it’s not easy. I just went home for spring break, but it was my third time being back this year. Once, I went home just for a weekend.” –Lojain, freshman #HumansOfWMU #WMU · Western Michigan University
“The piece of advice that I wish someone had given to me coming into college would be to take your time. College is some of the best years of your life, learning and growing as a person, so enjoy it!” Nick, senior #HumansOfWMU #WMU · Western Michigan University
“I absolutely love the culture here at WMU, the amount of diversity, and the fun that I’ve had with all of the people that I’ve met.” Erika, senior #HumansOfWMU #WMU · Western Michigan University
“The thing that I miss right now is my family, I’m studying abroad so I have been gone for a long time, about one year. I’m from Oman, so I miss my family and friends a lot.” –Nasser, freshman #HumansOfWMU · Western Michigan University
“My favorite thing about Western is that the campus is within itself, not integrated into a city. When you’re walking around, it’s like it’s own little community.” Alyssa, junior #HumansOfWMU #WMU · Western Michigan University

"I come from Hanover, Michigan, which is about twenty minutes south of Jackson. It’s like a little bubble, where everyone’s the same. I’m transgender, so when I came out there, I was this different kid. Thankfully, everyone there was really accepting but I was always the odd one out, all of the time. There was always something different about me. Coming here, it’s much more inclusive and it’s so much easier to feel included and be a part of the school." –Eli, sophomore #HumansOfWMU #WMU · Western Michigan University
“This is a project that’s partially for a class in the department of environmental and sustainability studies but it’s also a personal project that I was working on before I was in that class. It’s not something that we would be doing necessarily in the graphic design department but it was kind of nice to do this for a change, just because it’s not what I’m used to. I’m just trying to take this absurdity and make it into something that could make peoples’ day a little better." #HumansOfWMU #WMU · Western Michigan University
Our #HumansOfWMU campaign is back! "The way I’ve grown as a person since coming here is that I’m more outgoing, more talkative to people. I normally wouldn’t talk to people, but now I’m just not afraid to, I guess. I’m not afraid to say hi.“ –Karly, freshman #WMU #WMUBroncos #GoWest #WMU20 · Western Michigan University

A letter and journey through five days of reconnecting with the art world, partially in LIMERICK FORM and, of course, partially unfinished

I have a confession to make, and I’m not ashamed to admit it publicly. I mean, if Bob Dole and all of those distinguished convertible drivers can, then I can, too:

I’ve been having trouble getting it up.

Now hang on a second. Please don’t take it personally. Take a few deep breaths and hear me out first:

Absolutely nothing has changed between us, I swear. I still love you just as much as I did the first time we met.
How old was I then? Seven? Eight? You just showed up out of nowhere that day when I was sitting in the dirt under the front porch.
And all these years later, you’re still beautiful and brilliant and the only thing I’ve ever wanted out of life.
Okay, okay... maybe you're not the only thing I've ever wanted... I mean, my friends do have some pretty great houses- not to mention all of the traveling they do in their free time...
But hey, I get to spend all my free time with you... making plaster molds on Saturday mornings and laser leveling at 4 am and writing flash fiction about the binder clip selection at Office Depot at lunchtime. Those things are way more rewarding than cruising Antarctica or doing a wine tour or, you know, passing my genetic material on to subsequent generations... right?
Anyway, about this problem of mine: I promise you, it's just a phase. It happens to something like 9 out of 10 people at one point or another.
I know how much you hate clichés, but I have to say this: It’s not you, it's me.
I’m the problem. And it's nothing a little reconnecting can't fix. You know, remembering why we got together in the first place?
So here’s what we’re gonna do:
You and I are going to spend some quality time together- just the two of us. Five days and five nights in Austin. I’m going to eat, sleep, drink, and breathe you. I’m going to meet your friends, find out what’s been going on in your life. It'll be our own little romantic staycation.
And I'm gonna write about you.
In limerick form.
That's right, you heard me.
Now don't get all squeamish on me. Because let's face it, you can be a little stiff at times. Plus, you're always talking about feeling isolated, and how you want to be a bigger part of the community, and how you wish more people understood you...
So let's make this thing approachable, okay?

Day One: Wednesday, April 6

11:03AM: Detour

So my schedule this week is quite loose-
since I’m free of my website work noose
I’ll eat waffles and chat
but before I do that
I’ll visit Austin Creative Reuse

why is the "nonprofit arts and culture sector any different than the rest of society? Let's not somehow think we are "special" or "self entitled."

@ Everyone. I understand why you might respond negatively to my comment. First my comment was responding to the "thread" words, not to the article. However, I do want to reassert that making one NPO sector "special" when ALL NPO sectors are "special" in their unique ways, logically - means that none are "special" by definition. Everyone "struggles" so that is not special. But, my rhetorical argument had nothing to do with the article, right? The title of the article shown on my device said "we" so I thought that meant "us artists" involved in NPO sector. I just now read the article in its entirety, It was intelligently written and did the very thing that a good piece of writing does: It defined a "clear" issue (which is a uniquely "special" circumstance not facing all arts based/related NPO's and it spoke about making people aware, and provided viable solutions. It did NOT blame - it "identified" which allows people to educate themselves (if they choose) and shift their thinking and practice to provide effective solutions. (blaming others allows for people to victimize themselves and stay stuck). Thank you for bringing this all to my attention. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

I agree with the article. My life experiences reflect same. And I learned and have completely incorporated and actively practice loving/respecting others as I do myself and forgiving so I can retain and grow my creativity and express it.
