In the media as realting to the readings we have read in class, falling in love can be a reoccuring topic. When realting to the equiptment we use for living, the media can show us that in many forms of media the characters are falling in love. We talked about proverbs and literature and how these are the equipmment for living. The media can show alot of things and one of the things can be showing how to use the equiptment as a form of media.

As we discussed in class we first started talking about how we imitate art through life and vise versa as accoring to Wilde and how we can wear masks which can change are identity as according to Vonnegut and also Burke about how we use these tools as equiptment. All of the readings we read shaped us into a certain wait of viewing the media. One way it shapes us could be the concept of falling in love.

Through the use of the scrips like Vonnegut talked about or the way life imitiates art like Wilde dissucssed. All these ideas are forms of strory telling in which we view in the media that we watch. The media can put in shows and on t.v. how the character are falling in love with each other. When we watch t.v. for instant we see main character have a love interest or have feelings of liking someone. This is a form of equptment that gets us to see relationships in a way that just makes it look normal. When we see these hidden ways the media does it by adding romance to t.v. shows.

The media is hsowing us how to act a certain way. The way masks hide are true identity like Vonnegut talks about. People can hide there feelings in t.v. shows even if they are in love, this cocnept can hide peoples feelings so maybe its not apparent there in love or they dont think they are. When talking about Wilde we talked about how things in life imiate things we see in art. Well in media those things can reflect how we are in real life. When we watch a t.v. show when we see those chacters fall in love we might want to have something similar like that in real life. Are love intersts might imitate media because we see so much love while watching the media. When Burke talks about the equiptment we use such as litrature and metaphors such we can view it in any way we want.

We see in so many children movies that love is topic that is covred by the pretend characters. Not everyone who is watching will think of it that way. This love is the equpiment becasue we see so much of it in the media that it makes us think that there is always a happy ending which in real life there is not always a happy ending. This brings us back to Vonnegut and false perceptions because just because we see the love in media does not mean its always true.

Burke, vonnegut, and Wilde show us how the medida shapes are lives by telling ahs showing us what we should think is normal behavior. Love is everywhere when you watch t.v. and it shows us that its such a normal thing that all the characters are in love so we could be to.

There is an old saying that goes, "giving is better than receiving," this can be proven true through the Feeding America Organization. People suffering from food insecurity could use YOUR help! But how exactly can you help?

The Feeding America Organization, states that their main purpose is to, "feed America's hungry citizens through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger."

"For 35 years, Feeding America has responded to the hunger crisis in America by providing food to people in need through a nationwide network of food banks." The first food bank was established in Arizona by a man named John Van Hangel. Although this was the basis of the Feeding America Organization, this was not all that was to come of it. Today, Feeding America is the largest source of hunger relief throughout America, with an outstanding number of over 2000 food banks across America now.

Figure one and two can relate to one another because even though figure two focuses solely on African Americans,African American families are the ones that really need the most help. Whom Iam sure are also from the middle class, just like the family in figure one.Also if you are just looking at the pictures itself, and not the story thatgoes with it, figure two shoes young women packaging and unloading boxes withfood to help out families just like the one presented in figure one. It isefforts like those presented in figure two, that can ultimately help familieslike the one presented in figure one. Both of the images are reflections of theFeeding America’s association’s goal, which is to end hunger one family at atime. This can only be done by the voluntary work of others who are willing to help the families suffering from hunger insecurity.

The message that they are trying to get across to the viewer is that there are families everywhere just like this one that may need assistance with simple things, such as just eating everyday. They show a family of three, sitting happily outside their house because there are many families just like this one across America.
The author for the article regarding this image is very credible considering it is the people presented in the image. Thus, making this a very trustable and believable source.
I think pathos can be presented mostly through the use of the baby being put there, as well asthe other children. Not only are adults starving in America, but helpless children are too, or in this case, entire families.
I’m not entirely sure how the image conveys kairos other than the use of the people’sclothes. It is very apparent that this image is fairly recent (at least within the past ten years), which overall says that hunger is a rising issue today. And that these circumstance are very real.

Statistically,African Americans suffer from food scarcity more than any other race, and those are the only people present in this image. Who seem to be receiving help fromThe Feeding America association.
I think that the viewer really has to question one’s morals when viewing this photo because they could just as easily decide not to help because it may be irrelevant to them or for whatever reason. Or, they could decide to be of assistance and helpfeed America.
Not only arethe people in this image African American, but they are also all children. If that doesn’t appeal to one’s emotions, I am not sure what will.
The image doesnot appear to be out dated. The image is very relevant in what is happening currently in America, because African Americans suffer most from hunger/poverty.

So What?

Hunger should be a very big concern for everyone even if it does not concern them directly. Because it does concern them indirectly. This is because if America's citizens are suffering from hunger, that means they are not thriving, if they are not thriving, America is not thriving as a whole either.

I think these images are very effective towards discussing this organization's main goal, which is just to end the fight to hunger. They are literally functioning purely to serve others in need.

I can relate to this issue indirectly, this is because while I was in high school, I dated a guy for three years, and for this purpose, we'll call him Bob. Well, Bob's family went through a rough patch when his mother got laid off, and he was accepting food that my high school had gathered up for students in need. One day, I saw him leaving the office with the room that had this food distributor/club inside it. Bob was leaving with two huge tote bags full of food. At first when he saw me, he said nothing. But eventually, when I asked, he was forced to come clean. He was worried that I would be ashamed of him and that i just wouldnt understand. But rather, it was just the opposite. I wanted to help, and I couldnt stand that he felt he couldnt be honest with me. And so, I collected any non perishable foods at my house that I knew for certain, we were not going to be eating anytime soon, and gave it to Bob. Feeding America organization, should be an inspiration for everyone today. Because if you're neighbor is hungry, should you not want to help them?
