We love going uptown to help the Washington Heights cultural organization, United Palace Cultural Arts, put on their monthly "Sunday Movies at the Palace with Lin-Manuel Miranda" series. Our volunteers have help establish a tradition in this 1929 movie palace whose amazing splendor is so well preserved. We pop popcorn, usher, take tickets at the door and help with other front-of-house tasks. Can't wait until it starts up again in September 2014 with Guys & Dolls.

We were asked to help at the first Coney Island on Tap Beer Festival on July 12, 2014. Almost 100 volunteers served over 100 beers from 55 breweries. We had a great day with perfect weather at MCU stadium, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones. I have never seen such happy volunteers!

It is a tradition for One Brick NYC volunteers to get up very early on the last Saturday of April and get to Central Park by 5:30 a.m. to help set up for the annual Parkinson's Unity Walk. This is a great event for us, because it is all hands on deck to get ready for the arrival of all the people who come out to fund-raise and walk for such an important cause.
